The Barkly Drifters formed in the early 2000s. Drawing on the work of their Uncles and predecessors “The Tableland Drifters”, this band has developed a country style that captures the heart and soul of the Barkly Tablelands.

They developed and recorded their Debut Album “We Are One” and have, through the partnership and association with the Winanjjikari Music Centre, developed an artistic practice but also combined music management and production skills that sustain their own careers that support and build artists across the region.
It is fitting the 30th Desert Harmony Festival was the platform to launch their CD, celebrating their achievement to a home town before heading on tour to the Bush Bands Bash In Alice Springs, and then on to Western Australia for the Sandtracks Tour 2019.

The band plan to follow on the success of 2019 and perform on national and international stages and Nannup festival is the beginning of a big 2020.
