Cat Edmunds was born at the foot of the Blue Mountains and raised with classic Vinyl; from Fleetwood Mac to Mozart, Phantom of the Opera to Pink Floyd’s The Wall and of course Bowie, she was bathed in Joni Mitchell, The Choirboys, Aretha Franklin and a touch of Ella and Eartha. Her voice was marinated by sneaking into open mic nights and then performing the seediest bars in Sydney covering whatever the mob wanted. Cat Edmunds began to whisper songs in her home town, watered them in Melbourne, watched them flourish in Broome and then let rip in Fremantle.
Her voice which echoes through the ages is now ready for her debut festival performance here at Nannup 2021!!! She sings out to the crowd with honesty and clarity. Cat’s soaring vocals deliver heartfelt tales filled with humour and humility weaved through a lyrical tapestry that brings us all a little closer together. Backed with her guitar, solo or with friends, Cat has been enchanting audiences from near and far, she is one songstress that is not to be missed!
