Elly Ottenhof is a Thiithaar woman from the Guguu Yimithirr nation in Hopevale –Far North Queensland. Elly began writing songs from the age of 14 and grew up listening to a lot of old country music like; George Jones, Jonny Cash, Tim McGraw, Allan Jackson, Tammy Wynett, Dolly Parton, The Judds and much more along those sounds.

Her own songs have that similar sound, that old, soulful,country feel. Elly recorded for the first time, after being selected for WAM’s Sounds of The Kimberley compilation, her track ‘All Alone’, which has gained airplay in every state of the country and earned her multiple gigs in her current hometown in Kununurra.
