Read about the Nannup Music Club's beginnings and how a festival that was set up with $700 and a great deal of volunteer help, has become one of the major events in the south west and the biggest event of the year for Nannup Town.
The NMF engages directly with the challenge of environmental sustainability through its Green Steps Initiative. Our aim is to take a few green steps each year and to eventually put the Festival at the forefront of environmentally friendly event management.
Congratulations to the 2018 Nannup Music Festival Emerging Artist Award winners, Jack Davies & The Bush Chooks (Emerging Artist Award) and Imogen (Recognition Award). The Emerging Artist Award winner gets recording time with Lee Buddle at Crank Recording and the Recognition Award winner gets recording time with James Newhouse at Real2Reel, sponsored by Totally Sound. Massive thanks to our sponsors for their support of emerging artists.
The Nannup Music Festival is one of Australia’s most iconic music festivals. It continues a revered national reputation with artists and audience members alike, who always want to come back.
Nannup Music Festival gets better every year, and efforts are always made to keep up this trend. The committee, volunteers and others involved in the organisation of the NMF should be very proud of themselves for producing a word-class festival.
Totally Sound have been doing the sound, lighting and staging at the Nannup Music Festival for many years. We also proudly sponsor the Industry Peers Award for emerging artists. The crew love this event. Kym, our Sound Engineer who takes care of the Town Hall stage tells me he always feels a little low the day after the festival, a little sad that it has to come to an end each year.
Nannup Music Festival is our favourite. Each year we fairies come away filled with happiness and joy. Always such a lovely vibe. It’s a great size and I love all of the venues, set around town. You always seem to have the best variety of music to suit everyone’s taste and introduce all of us to awesome new music! I loved that the river was high this year and I could sneak down for a dip when it was at the heat of the day! Thank you so much for having us!!!
We get to a lot of events. This has to be the best we have been to. The organisers are to be congratulated. The volunteers, crew, workers, the Town of Nannup, thanked. And the crowds have been well behaved and friendly. Thank you for having us, it was a smashing weekend.
What a wonderful vibe. Great music, positive interactions and excellent, yet non intrusive organisation and management. I love this festival!
I love the family friendly atmosphere, the diversity of music including excellent indigenous artists as well as young talent. Great setting too; we were even visited by great flocks of cockatoos.
The best festival in WA to experience some of the most talented & diverse upcoming musicians. Rich in culture and a family friendly weekend.
Wonderful vibes, great music, lots of smiles and laughter, free letting go dancing, warming hugs, inspiration by talents, truth and openness… So much to love, so much love…
