Lachy John is a singer-songwriter from the Pilbara region of WA. His folk and roots vibe is inspired by musicians such as West-Aus’ own John Butler and the Waifs. Through song, Lachy John tells stories of the human condition inspired by his life experience and views. He has learnt that by allowing himself to be vulnerable both lyrically and performance wise, he can spark a deeper connection with his audience, enriching both theirs and his experience. This is what Lachy John’s music is all about.

Lachy John is relatively new to the music industry but, since picking up the guitar and harmonica in late 2016, he has had some incredible opportunities come his way. Lachy John won the 16-18YRS Song Craft category for the Fairbridge Festival Quest 2018, then went on to play at festivals such as SOTAHedland 2018, Nanga 2018 (under the youth grant), WAMFest 2018 and, more recently, the North West Festival 2019.

Between festivals, Lachy John can be found busking at markets and performing at local pubs and bars, as well as corporate events. All of these experiences have seen Lachy John perform alongside world-class acts such as the Pierce Brothers, Amy Shark, Dan Sultan, Baker Boy, Ash Grunwald, and many other well established artists, as well as put him in positions to meet music industry professionals. Lachy John is extremely excited to see what the future holds for him and his music, but for now, this simple country bloke is enjoying travelling and gigging in the Pilbara and across Australia, and especially at groovy little festivals like Nannup.
