Sea Swallow

Sea Swallow is Bill Lawrie and Claire Moodie, a country folk duo with a very different live show of original story-telling music that you won’t see elsewhere.  Winners of the West Australian Music Award for Country Song of The Year for 2023, for the evocative “Down to the Wild Stuff Now”, they will bring the new material from their second album, “Creature of the Heart” due to be launched in early 2024. They will be joined by double bass player, Lukas Drinkwater, who played on most of the new album.

Bill is a Fremantle boy, Claire is from Glasgow, and the duo began in Broome and is named for the shorebird that flies across the world. Their first album “Before” was released in 2021.

Expect two very different voices woven around well-crafted songs, strong musicianship on guitars, blues harp and snare, a delivery that goes from compelling and intimate to full-throttle boisterous.
