Shipwright’s Cottage

“I began crafting when I was a small girl growing up in Warrandyte on the Yarra river in Victoria in the 1970s. Surrounded by a crafting family I learnt from my mother and grandmother how to cook, garden, spin, knit, dye, sew and weave.

I now pass on that knowledge to others as I love teaching people ancient skills for modern living. Crafting connects us with our ancestors and all those skills learnt over thousands of years. Craft work heals the heart and mind through action, repetition and mastering a skill.” Fiona Hook
