Chris Edmondson's Hut Chapters
Chris Edmondson writes & performs what you might call “Hut Chapters’.
Story songs written on the edge of a paddock or in an old shed in a corner of a quarter acre.
Each tale to be told with very little else other than an a conversation & an acoustic guitar.
Chris’s Hut Chapters are often about people just like you telling wry tales of lives lived outside & beyond the last set of city traffic lights.
Go see him. He’s quite good.
In addition, Chris often appears on the ABC airwaves as a program presenter & gathering stories from around WA & was most notably instrumental in helping prisoners in Eastern Goldfields Regional Prison translate the Paul Kelly classic “How To Make Gravy” into the Pitjantjatjara western desert language which resulted in Paul Kelly visiting the prison to meet Chris & the prisoners involved.
You’ll also often find Chris out in the Goldfields & Esperance regions where he is actively involved in the live music scene & running community recording workshops & acting as MC for a number of community & arts events.
