LACHY JOHN BAND

What do you get when a singer-songwriter from the Pilbara meets three talented young jazzecats? Some heckin’ good tunes and an energetic live show that’ll blow your socks off!

Lachy John is a folk artist who’s been playing around the scene in the country and the city since 2017. As a solo artist, Lachy John has played festivals across the state, including Nannup in 2020, where he decided it was time to leave the Pilbara and get amongst it in the big smoke.

Once in Perth, Lachy John didn’t waste any time, meeting and jamming with Jazz students, Rory, Cass and Will. The band was formed and ready to get on stage, and after packing out their first two shows in March 2021, they were offered a residency at Mojos Bar in Freo. Lachy John Band then went on to play WAMFest and Fairbridge, drawing crowds with their emotionally charged, passionately potent performances. Now with a real taste for the festival scene, it’s safe to say the folk rockers are chomping at the bit to jump on stage to dance and connect with the lovely folk at the Nannup Music Festival.
