THE WITCHY DJYPSIES

The Witchy Djypsies have established themselves on the Perth music scene as one of the city’s best up and coming live dancefloor sensations. Originally forming in the West Australian town of Witchcliffe as a three piece The Witchy Djypsies then grew to an eccentric ensemble of seven in Fremantle, pausing their era as van dwelling travelers and forging a path through their style of deep-rooted gypsy jazz, ska, punk and world fusion. Comprising three French, two Czech and two Australian members, The Witchy Djypsies transpose an organic multi-cultural/lingual experience to their audiences.

Hailed by crowds for their energetic and captivating concerts, the band has performed for Fairbridge Festival, Denmark Festival of Voice, WAM Festival and the Karridale Circus Festival.

Along with their own successful sold-out performances for the release of ‘Gypsyland’ in March 2020 and ‘Out of The Woods – Tour’ 2021 in Perth’s metropolitan venues and all around the state, The Witchy Djypsies have supported internationally acclaimed acts such as Tijuana Cartel and Formidable Vegetable Sound System.

With the release of their new album ‘Out of the woods’ in November 2021, they are now in the process of producing their third album and invading the East Coast of Australia with their contagious beats.
